Hollow Tide

Hollow Tide is quieter than most mobile games. You sail between half-sunk islands, piece together what happened to the people who lived there, and solve gentle environmental puzzles. There's no combat pressure, just curiosity pulling you forward.

The art carries a lot of the mood, and the ambient soundtrack is genuinely lovely with headphones. Some puzzles lean on trial and error, which we found a little slow, but the atmosphere kept us going.

This is a game to play in the evening, not on a crowded bus. Give it your attention and it gives plenty back.
